A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER OF AOM

It is one thing to work trying to raise funds with your own adopted Malagasy daughters as inspiration at your side; it is altogether another deeply moving thing to receive funds from all of you who give from kindness and sharing without ever having known any of these fantastic kids.

We have received such incredibly touching and creative donations; one college couple collected money for a trip to the ocean for the kids in lieu of receiving their own wedding gifts. A 12 year old girl beaded bracelets to sell and raise funds for a sponsored child. A man sends donations for the kids while living without a phone or car so that the orphans may have enough food.

Every one of us could use for ourselves whatever we give, this I know, and yet you give from your hearts. This is something so wonderful. We understand this and we know how every dollar translates into opportunity for a child.
